1973? Raleigh Super Course 58cm ST, 56cm TT

It's dark green, Reynolds 531.
Nervex lugs lined in gold paint.
Fork is 1/2 chrome, bottom up, crown is also Nervex lugged.
All rear stays are 1/2 chrome.

It appears one to part out, as the crankset is a TA, the shifters, FD/RD, hubs are Campy (5sp freewheel) with 27" alloys. Brakes are Weinmann center pulls.

Paint is shot, prev owner rode it at night in Miami, it has reflective tape on it.
It had a headlight and generator on it, too.

Not mine, but a friend wants to know the value, because he wants to build a 60cm touring frame up.

And you're asking for value w/o pics?

So I'll throw out a number w/o value: $150-$200

According to Tom Forhan's Periodic Table of the Raleigh Super Course......the '73s had the Capella lugs. The flamboyant red one is in my avatar.

Must be an early 70's, then, since it's the green. Has the Weinmann's, but had Campy hubs, shifters, FD/RD.

I have sold a couple of Super Course Raleighs and both went for about $250.00, plus the cost to ship which would add another hundred bucks, or so. I should add that both of mine were late eighties models.

Thanks, Randy.

Given it's condition, it's either going to end up as someone's excellent beater or a resto.
Decals are avaiable, the chrome is good, and the lugs don't have to be masked; it's an excellent candidate.

I'll ask the owner. Right now, he just wants to raise the funds for a Soma Stanya frame and build it.
