Motobecane Mirage Mixte?
Hi all: I was doing research on a bike I've had for quite some time. Since I'm not the original owner I'm at a loss regarding year, model and any other interesting info on this bike.
I did find similar looking configurations so I'm taking a shot it's a Mirage Mixte from the late 70s / early 80s.......?
Can anyone fill me in?
BTW, I'll post the component mfr/models tomorrow.
Thanks!

Mirage is the model for the bicycle, and Mixte is the frame style. You can figure out how old the bicycle is by applying some of the information contained in How Old Is My Bike? Pay closest attention to the suggestions in the section on Component Numbers.
I hope this is a help and nice bicycle. I have had good luck selling these nice old French Mixte bikes.

Entry level mixte, high ten steel frame, turkey levers, claw RD hanger.
Motobecane had a lot of mixte models, more than anyone else I know of. Most mixtes were entry level/near entry level, similar to your Mirage.
The good news is yours appears to be in great condition, and any mixte, even entry level ones, get a really good response in the market.
A lot of Motobecane catalogs are on line.
