I think its later than 1981. I bought a pair in 1982 and they still used the solid cast fork.
There is a chance the frame was made in 1981 and not turned into a bicycle until later.
Beyond that, it appears in nice shape. In Southern California Chicago Schwinns get respect, ladies bike less.
Around here, at $100. it would sell fast. At $200. it might get purchased for the parts, transferred to a mens frame.
Above that, it needs that buyer who... nostalgia, Christmas approaching, need a classic bike to put under the tree that only requires a small amount of primping....

Around here $100 tops. Probably more like $50 if you want to sell it in a reasonable amount of time. Ladies single speed cruisers don't have a lot of value.

The strait fork and unbrazed welds mean this bike was most likely an import made after 82 meaning it has little C&V value. As a basic womens cruiser it is likely only worth $100 in most markets.

$50 sounds like a reasonable asking price for around here. If you're in Venice Beach maybe a little higher. Maybe a little higher in other places with flat riding opportunities.
