Schwinn LeTour and Traveler
I am contemplating purchacing the bikes in the below craigslist ad. I am just curious if $150 is a good price for both bikes, or if I shold pay less. I of course plan on offering less, but not real familiar with these models and what they might be worth. I will probably just clean them up and flip them a few towns over. Or give to family members for christmas if they fit.

I think the prices are high if you want to flip them. The price is ok if you know how to work on bikes and don't need to make a profit.

Too high to flip. The prices on those bikes are probably a little too high to begin with. They're definitely not worth much more than $100 each all tuned up and clean (which they don't appear to be in the picture.)
Not a terrible deal if you plan to keep them for yourself.

Well, I got the lady to send me some more detailed images of the bikes and they are even rougher than expected. They will both need new seats, brake cables, chains, tires, etc. I offered her $75 for both and explained why. she replied with no thanks. She's had them listed for a week now. I'll email in another week to see if she has changed her mind.

Here is an earlier ad for the bikes. I deleted the email that she sent with the larger pics.

Go to www.waterfordbikes.com and look for waterford news left side going down and click on Schwinn catalog scans. There you will see all the bikes Schwinn made before selling the name. That is how I got to see the year by bike was.Mine was handmade in the Chicago Plant they had for their special frames they made.I have Colombus Tubing on mine. I love my bike. It's pretty fast and I kept it with same paint.

I rode a Traveler for years, and like Le Tours, but I would not buy the bikes for $150.
