Potential Peugeot Purchase
I'm going to look at this bike tonight and I'm hoping to get some help identifying the model of this bike:
https://buffalo.craigslist.org/bik/2750544385.html
From the research I've done I'm thinking it is an '88 Avoriaz? That is only Red bike I could identify in the catalogs besides an '86 Triathlon (which I'm sure it's not). Any thoughts?
I'm also curious if there is anything in particular I should be looking for (stickers, components, etc) that would clue me in to whether it is worth the money and/or what model it is.
Thanks for your help!

I would get in your car now and go get that bike. I would not wait until tonight. Buffalo should be a big enough market that there are scoopers there, someone who will pick this bike up for $90, knock the dirt off, and repost for $175 to $200. Any Peugeot of that era is worth more than that price, assuming frame is free of damage and seatpost and stem are not stuck.
In my market, that bike would be in my car right now.

Go get it NOW if you want it, otherwise it will be gone before you get there. As long as there are no major issues that's a really good deal.

I appreciate the urgency, which in and of itself confirms my initial thought that this was a pretty good deal. The seller is currently at work and I'm meeting him as soon as he gets out. Any thoughts on the model?

Get it in your hands, post some detailed close up pictures, and someone here will be able to tell you exactly what model it is. Peugeots of that era often had a paper sticker, on the non-drive side chain stay, that listed the model, size, etc.
Appears to have the model name on the top tube.
Take it from someone who often scoops bikes, I would be at that guy's house BEFORE he gets home. So if he says he will be home at 5:30, I'm there a little after five. I scooped a bike recently in Charlotte (160 miles ONE way), I was there 30 minutes before the guy got home. Was it worth it? You bet.
+1 To below: I see alloy rims, DT shifters, alloy seat post. That's enough to get me in the car.

Well, it has downtube shifters, a spoke protector, monotone fork and what appears to be a Reynolds decal, so my guess would be a circa 1988 Nice with Reynolds 501 main tubes and Exage.
