Hey, I'm in the market for a bike to commute on and saw this on craigslist in my area. The price seems a little high, can anyone tell me what it's worth?

Looks like a deal to me and the fact that it is so clean. I live north of LA so bike prices are a little higher then most places. Frisco is a bike expensive place, but you should be far enough away from that and Sacramento to not have trouble.

+487 High compared to what? At the $120 price level in a good market, you are not going to find much. This looks like a deal and should not last long.

I'm looking from work, so unfortunately I can't see pictures... but I am a nut for Le Tours. I have two '74s. From 74 to 79 (I think...), Panasonic made those for Schwinn. Then Schwinn made them in America for a few years, then off to Taiwan, from what I've read. Those 70's models are beautiful bikes, lugged Japanese steel, the ride is silky smooth and very comfortable for long rides.

In any big city, that would be a good deal at twice the price. Moreso if it is 100% ready to ride.

$225 for a Schwinn Le Tour is a good deal? What am I missing.

Nice deal at $120. Mediocre deal (but probably OK in a super hot market) at $225.
