Shimano Sante Groupset
Thanks to modernising my old Mercian Strada Speciale I am thinking of moving on the Shimano Sante Groupset that I've removed. Any views on what this should be worth nowadays, please? Everything is there except the headset (which never lasted very long) and the BB ( since replaced with UN52). Hubs are built with plain gauge spokes into aero Campy rims, should I disassemble (anodising is worn and wheels weren't laced ideally) or leave as is? Some plating is corroded here and there plus usual loss of paint at ends of crank arms but the overall effect is pleasing. Everything is clean and shiny, or smooth and lubricated, where it should be. I've been really impressed, working on the RD, just how well thought out and manufactured it is for a 24 year old part but it is too short cage for round here.

Post pics as condition is everything. I don't know about the UK market, here in the US, pretty decent money, but not great. Anywhere from $100 to $250. Missing the headset is a minus for sure. If you are planning to ship very far, then disassembling the hubs is probably the best bet. But local sale, complete wheels are best. I've got two sets of Sante components right now in the "to be sold on ebay" box.

Pics will be up later as still to finish cleaning everything. Definitely too good to scrap.

I agree with Bill's assessment. I had the Sante group on my Battaglin and remember it to be very close in design to the early 600 tricolor stuff. Worked well and I'm sure that there is a market for it.
