Bianchi Frame On Local CL
This frame is being offered for 100.00 at a local bike shop about an hour away. I'm not up on the Bianchi's and would like to ask the bianchi folk and flippers if this is worth a build up for personal use.

I think its a good deal. The paint looks good. It seems to be a late 90's but there are folks here better at this than I am. I bought an early 90's Alfana for a hundred and Bianchi frame/forks on ebay seem to regularly go for more than a hundred before considering the shipping.

the decals tell me it is a circa 2000 frame like t-mar suggests. it looks to be made of their ovalized dedacciai tubing. it will be slightly on the heavy side but a very nice riding and durable frame. if the paint is as good as it looks i would call it a good buy at $100.

If it helps the valuation for you, I paid about $1200 for the complete bike when it was new in 2000. (The brooks saddle was of course, not included in that price)
It rides nicely. Not a racing bike (at least not the way mine is configured), but sporty enough and comfy for long rides.I think $100 is a fair deal, though its hard to judge the condition from those photos.

If you buy it, make sure to post some pics once you have it built up!

I agree with T-Mar I believe the frame the OP is asking about is a lower level frame than yours, which would explain the steel unicrown fork.
Hard to tell what the tubing decal says in those pics, can you get better ones? what does the decals on the TT say?

The decal on my top tube says "Lite Alloy Reparto Cosra". I'll have to look when I get home and see if there is any decal identifying the type of tubing. I think it's just above the bottom bracket.

The decal for the tubing on bikes of this era is normally on the DT for the midlevel bikes. I was curious to see if the frame the OP is looking at had any model decal on the TT

There is a tubing decal on the lower end of the downtube just above the BB. Just says it's a Bianchi engineered double butted Lite Alloy.
