Well we can try, are you trying to sell or buy? we know alot about bikes here but your not giving us enough information to help you.

The bike in question is a tandem (a bicycle built for two people one behind the other) correct?

if your looking at or selling this one I don't think it is worth $600 but more information and bettr pics are needed

Or are you looking at this one in Dumont? I still think $250 is steep for this one too

Ok wiseguy, just because you say it louder doesn't mean it's understood (believe me, I tried that plan last time I toured europe).

Please post some pictures, the majority of the info you posted seems to be from either a bike shop or a municipal license from a long long time ago. Other than a gee whiz, I've been to New Jersey too kinda moment, there's really nothing to go on there.

Try writing down some of the names on parts on your tandem. Is it multi speed? How about the rims? do they say anything? Have you called the phone number?

Googling around the bikes I see are really nothing special, maybe a hair's width better than department store bikes, seems they were made for the "National Independant Distributor Associates" (N.I.D.A) which I presume is something like QBP from the day. Think generic.

Some info
There's a post in this thread saying not to spend more than $50 buying one

Some site had an outdated listing from craigslist with one at $175

So there's your answer, somewhere between $50 and $175.

All caps would've been even better. Try that next time. Light bulb moment - BOLD AND ALL CAPS!!!

Seriously, your post gives us no useful information. Post some pictures of the bike.

Vista was a brand of Colmbia, introduced right around the time Schwinn started screwing over their old customer base with new "standards". N.I.D.A. was a group of auto dealers, hardware stores, etc. that didn't meet the standards - so they talked Columbia into replacing Schwinn. Similar quality, similar construction, similar parts, similar look. What you have is history without the reminiscence that Schwinn seems to invoke. The last Vista I had, I simply donated to a charity bike organization. You may find some value simply because its a tandem, but you're not likely to find any collectors.

Bike boom two rider very intersting but maybe worth $200 to the right buyer in really good conditon could take months to sell. Great bike should be worth more but the market for vintage two seaters is almost none exesistant.
