Schwinn Voyageur--Considering My Options (Before and After Pictures)
I bought this Voyageur with the intentions of flipping it. Now that I've got it up and running, I'm considering keeping it. I already have 3 true touring bikes (Bridgestone T700, Miyata 700 GT, and 1973 Schwinn World Voyageur). I'm not hurting for another vintage touring bike. The frame has no flaws or dents. The paint looks better in the pictures than it does in person, but it doesn't look bad. The sticker decals have sustained some damage due to a lock, but they can be easily read. The cyclocross tires look okay, but a gumwall road tire would look better. I may change tires out.
I like the bike, but I need to consider all my options. In its present condition, what do you think it is worth?
Thanks.
Bob

Love that crankset, and the skip tooth cogs on the freewheel. Great overhaul too, looks almost new. It may be worth more, but I would not let it go for less than $350.

It needs a few minor things (cable ends, etc.), but otherwise it is ready to go. The skiptooth freewheel is to another 73 Schwinn World Voyageur.

I did decide to sell the Voyageur. I sold for $340. Thanks again FastJake and Auchen (his advice is not in this thread) for your help!

Thankfully I'm close enough to University of Michigan. Just about all my recent sales have been to out of state students at U of M. I did sell one bike to a MSU student who drove 1 1/2 hours to buy a bike. It has been some time since I sold a bike to a Michigan resident.
