Torelli Columbus Brain tubing Campy 9 speed Chorus

I am getting ready to sell this bike , I will try craigslist first and then on to ebay if it does not sell. What do you think I should be able to get for it. It is a Torelli Countach , Columbus Brain tubing frame size is a 63cm , no dent dings a few small rock chips and one small scratch on the fork. Complete Campagnolo Chorus 9 speed group in very nice condition. Mavic rim , 3ttt stem. San Marco Torelli saddle. Not 100% sure on year but think around 2000. Thanks in advance for your help with this. If I had a frame shrinking machine I would keep this bike.

I would start it at on Craigslist $850, with very low expectations of selling it. For a Craigslist purchase, I wouldn't let it go for less than $650. Even in a major market the number of potential CL buyer will be limited.

Probably sell for $450 to $600 on Ebay.

First of all, that's a nice bicycle.

If it were me, I'd part it out.

You will likely get a much greater return.

Sell the wheelset, Chorus gruppo, and frameset separately on Velobase or another handy forum.

Wheelset = $250
Gruppo = $350
Frameset = $250 or so. Brain is a very nice tube set, although I haven't ridden a bike in that size with Brain.

Take a little extra time, and you'll get best value.

CL would be a tough sell for fair money.

63 cm's are hard to find and sell.

Had you lived in the PNW I would ridden my 61 center to top EL/OS w' sachs over and had a mutual test drive.

I looked for two years for steel 80 - mid 90's bike and would have considered the following price points on your bike.

<$500 Take my money now!
<$750 As long as there is nothing seriously wrong here are my C-notes
<$1000 Think about it, ride it and haggle the cost of any swaps.
>$1000 There are other fish out there, the color is not Italian flashy and I really wanted a bit o chrome blingage.

Big size will limit sale opportunity on craigslist. It will also make packing a pain should you ebay. Locally I couldn't see it going for over 500. I would likely keep it if I had found it. It's right in my size range. And purty too.

Thanks guys for all the input. I think I will list it on my local craigslist for $525 and if I get no takers in a week or two I will part it out on Ebay , I just hate taking such a nice bike apart. I only bought it to flip it , I paid only $225 for it thinking it was a no brainer.
