Bridgestone 600
Hey guys, I'm trying to get into cycling and I've been looking for the older, more vintage bikes on cl. I can't identify this bridgestone 600, can anybody help? https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bik/3002705493.html looking through the catalogs.. I'm thinking it might be painted. Also, how is this bike in terms of rideability and components?

Constant tinkerer
Someone hacked it up. "Fixie" is in the ad, that is always a bad sign. Missing the front brake, no bar tape, no front shifter/derailer/chainring. And it's not even a fixed gear, it has a rear derailer.
Unless you are looking for a project bike I would pass. I'm not sure where the 600 fell in the lineup, but it would probably have been worth $140 if it was in complete working condition.

Thanks for clearing that up. I figured that might've been it.. but i don't know enough about bikes to say. Can anyone tell me the bad side of getting a bike too large? I'm thinking of getting this 2001 khs flite 300 https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...014135024.html but the frame size is 58cm. I'm 5'10'' and I think I'm like a 54 or 56 but I haven't measured yet so I can't be sure, but probably not a 58. From a newbie's perspective.. this bike looks great, but I think the frame is... aluminum? Any comments?
Thanks,
-Vince

If your 5'10" with a 32" inseam that KHS should fit OK.

KHS is a deal, even though it is a dirty mess. I am surprised it is still available. Entry level for sure (from an era where entry level = decent), and make sure shifters work.
Bridgestone is a mess and I would pass on it.
