Miele Cicli w/ Shimano 600 group

Hi, My girlfriend just picked up a Miele Cicli with Ishawata 022 tubing and complete Shimano components. Handlebars and stem are SR as well as the seat post. I know that serial numbers are hard to find for the Mieles but can anyone provide a better idea of the year this bike was made judging from the set up?

Thanks
CW

Hello CresentWrench, Welcome to the forums. it could be anywhere from a '80 to 2000 since 600 has been around for a few decades. A few good pics of the bikes and components will help to determine the year. The model of 600 is a big help. Indexing downtube shifters would be roughly '87 to '92, the dark finish aka "TriColor" would be '89ish to '92, STI or brifter type shifters would be newer than '93ish.

Welcome to the Bike Forums.

Your Miele sounds nice and you can determine the bike's age by applying the information contained in How Old Is My Bike? As for what model, it is not Cicili even though that word appears on the bike. You might see something close to what you have in this catalog that can be found on my website.

HI, and thanks for the replies to my post. Sorry for being sloe to respond as I was tied up with other stuff.
The componentry on the bike is all newer looking Shimano 600 stuff. Has a 1990's look to it. I will take some pics and post them.

@randyjawa - Can you explain what you mean that is not Cicli even thought is says so on the frame?

cicli is italian for cycle. Cicli was not a model.

Miele Cycli = Miele Bicycle

Anyway, post some pics and we can help you out. I have 2 Mieles (and one frame in the closest), one of which is Ishiwata 022 tubed with 600ex components. Does your bike have one of these fancy headsets?

I Bet it's a Beta

Based on the catalogue I saw the Miele that has the Isiwata 022 tubing with Shimano 600 components is a Miele Beta, which seems to be the highest model of their middle range bikes.
Just not sure of the date of manufacture because there is not much info on Miele serial numbers available, at least from my initial peruse of the internet.
And yes, it has the exact headset...is that good?

That headset alone is worth ~$100 on ebay. The compnent group is 600ex (I think from 83-87) What scans were you using? The bike I have is also a Miele Beta, not sure of the year.
