What the heck is this 1979 Stingray worth?

I just picked this bike up for a song, maybe my first real Craigslist victory in some years.

I don't really know anything about Stingrays, but it came together with a super cheap bmx I knew I wanted. But, for the money, I had no issues picking it up as well, and now hope it might be worth something. From the meager research I am qualified to do, it seems to be a 1979 Stingray.

Serial number is BQ532529 on the headtube, Schwinn badge is marked 0579. To my eye, it is all original except for the tires which are dead anyways. Some rust, not too bad, most decals are in good shape, and the seat has no tears (yay!). Sorry for the limited and poor pictures, my camera died right after these four shots. Any case, tell me what's up Schwinn experts!

Few here specialize in kids bikes, which is probably why you haven't gotten a response yet. Best thing to do would be to check completed ebay auctions for similar items.

Personally I wouldn't pay anything for it, except to resell. But someone might pay a couple hundred for that bike. I really have no idea.

The late 60 Krates are the most collectable but at least it is a boys bike. You can bring it to da U.P. in September for Stingray round-up

Ha, any excuse to head to the U.P is nice! I've done a little leg work and suspect this model is worth between $100 and $400, but, the wife has claimed it as her own. Now, I guess I'm on the hunt for "Golden Yellow" touch up paint...so it begins...
