175 for a 90's Specialized Sirrus?
Hi, I'm unfortunately in a pretty competitive market and have had not so much luck finding my first road bike. I just came across this guy selling a 1990's Specialized Sirrus with Shimano RSX on craigslist (https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/3055863187.html). He has all the parts listed. Do you think this is a fair price for what it is?
Thank you all so much!

Hopefully, you're first in line. After that, there will only be a puff of smoke.

Thank you guys so much for the great responses. The seller just told me that there are lots of interested buyers and he will hold a showing tomorrow. So I guess it will be like a mini-auction. What's the upper limit do you think I should go for? 200-250?

"mini-auction" huh..... I wouldn't go over $250, and I'd really have to like it for that amount. I test rode one of these back in the late '90's and it was very nice. Great all-around rider. I think the sold somewhere in the $600 range new.
Not crazy about the selling format here. I guess you can hope that few people show. If this is the case, be the last one to name a price and before you start, get the seller to commit to selling the bike to the highest bidder.
