Mavic Helium 700c wheelset

Hi, I've been trying to get rid of this Mavic Helium serie 6000 wheelset but nobody want's them. It could be my price, I was asking $250obo on CL. Then i lowered it to $220, still nada. $200 sounds way too low now. I would rather keep them because i believe they are worth alot more. The last set i saw was on Ebay and those sold for $400! The wheels come with a brand new SRAM cassette and they are in good condition. What am i doing wrong? and what are the rims really worth?

Also, I will trade for some open 4 CD's, MA40's, Any basic Mavic set + some components.

You'll get your price easily on Ebay.

I don't prefer ebay, sometimes they take too much money. But if I can get upwards of $300 i will definitely consider it.

Last pair of these I bought were clinchers for $200 + fairly inexpensive flat rate shipping. I think some people are put off by the red anodizing, others by the different spoke orientation. Plus, the stickers seem to come off very easily so some of the rims look kinda ratty. These look to be in good shape and I'd pay that for another set. But honestly, hard to get more than $200 for a set of wheels (with Mavic skewers) on CL, no matter where you are. You might be able to get more on eBay, or you might wind up getting the same amount and having to pay more in fees. Lots of great deals on wheels out there right now, a buyer's market.

I've always wanted a set of these. I vote take the $200 so I am not tempted to buy them.

It is probably a fair price, I just found a set of 1 year old velocity rims laced to record hubs for the same price (with tires)

Exactly. $200 isn't great, but it's also not bad- I have seen some pairs in similar condition go on ebay for $200 (+shipping) The question becomes whether you want to haggle to make another $15.

I would probably take it while very nice wheels they are none standard somewhat outdated racing wheels and colored which makes them a hard sell for much more.

theres a big difference between trying to "get rid of" something and "get top dollar" for used stuff.
