Chrome Raleigh Sports

Hello, just picked this up, any ideas? Certainly is shiny. Lotta rust, the off side crank is loose. The shifter doesn't work, but the hub shifts. The brakes work, after a fashion! There are no decals left anywhere, a tiny bit on the seat tube. The fenders are straight, the chainguard is a little bumpy. Thanks for your time.

It looks pretty cool. You don't come across those chromed ones very often.

Beware of that coaster though - it's a TCW most likely. Famously prone to brake failure - make sure the front wheel brake works properly before riding.

Does anyone have any idea on a value?

As pictured and described - if it had regular paint, perhaps $50 would be a generous offer. I'm sure the chrome adds value for somebody who's into that though.
Clean it up and fix the shifting and it should get $125-$150 if you have a decent market.

$25 to $50 MAX as is. Rust is a value killer, and any serious buyer that wants to tackle that bike will be putting a lot of time into it to do it right. Now when that work is done, they will have a nice bike.
