Raleigh Technium 400

Based on this thread and other preliminary research, it seems that the bike is worth around $150.

What i am asking is, do you see anything noticeably wrong with the bike?

aside from the flat tires and missing reflector? Most damage like to the frame will be subtle enough you can only see it in person.

Looks like a nice bike, but very small frame. I'd pay $150 for that any day .

are you selling or buying? If your seller I would suggest fixing the flats (may be as simple as pumping the tire up) since most buyers would want to test ride.

What kind of saddle is that? it might be worth selling seperatley if it is a Rolls or nicer Selle Italia.

That frame looks tiny, no headtube to speak of, so I bet it is a 19" frame. At 5'8" you may a little long for it. As previously mentioned IMHO, you need a 21" frame.

At the ask of $200, I doubt you'd prevail at $150, given the lack of decent road bikes in NYC.

Agree with the saddle comment. If it's a name brand and in good shape you could get upwards of $50 for it. Bike is fairly priced at $150.

Basically, I'd say you need enough room so you don't hurt yourself . Agree with above that a 21" frame would be a good place to start , if you are in fact 5'8".

HURRY HURRY HURRY

This appears to be a 21" frame, clean and only a $16 roundtrip bus ride away (Decamp #33 about 40 minutes. Upper deck platform at Port Authority.) The buses have big storage bins where moms can park their strollers, so a bike should fit.

@Debit

I actually did make it in time and we will meet up to look over the details of the bike. I can't thank Oddjob enough for all his help with my amateur bike search.

Looks like a pretty good bike for the price and a good buy nicer small road frames go for a serious premium right now. I do see a couple of minor issues with the bike the none original cheapo stem shifters and turkey lever brake levers which are wrong for the bike and older downgrade components. If they work good there is nothing wrong with them and at this price for this bike they could be easily changed later fairly cheaply.

The bike has neither stem shifters nor turkey wings. Look closely, only 2 cable housings off the bars.

Based on the pic I clearly see two cables going to what look like stem shifters and turkey lever things on the brakes. Look close at the pic do you see any DT,s or bar ends.

He's going after the listing in post #12, so we are looking at two different bikes! First bike is too small.

Unfortunately, the seller did not contact me after our initial agreement to meet on Sunday. He was suppose to give me a call Saturday to arrange the meeting, but he never called or emailed. I guess he changed his mind. Back to searching again...

But i do appreciate all the help you have given me thus far Oddjob.

The Windsor you are looking at will get you okay basic transportation, but I think it is way overpriced. It's probably a lugged gas pipe steel frame.

Tourney is Shimano's lowest grade components. I wonder who did the tune up as the front QR skewer is backwards. OH, I almost forgot, the scarlet and grey Ohio State color theme is repulsive.........

Sorry you missed the Raleigh, but if its a deal, you can't expect the seller to wait 3 days, unless you offer him more than asking price, which is not your MO. You snooze, you lose......
