Still learning
That's a big number, but depends on the components. A DKO recently sold one in NJ with full Shimano 600 for about $150. I would have scooped it up, but have been out of state.

That's a 58cm, not a 56. I have the same bike - rode it last night, it's a 1982. Rides very nicely. Check out the gold anodized Araya rims. It'll have SunTour ARx rear derailleur - functional, but not a show piece. That one looks ridden and not clean. The tires are a recent add by the seller/recent rider - look like Duro's. The saddle is original and very desirable. If I came across that one - I'd buy it for myself. $150 target - $175 tops. I wouldn't pay $400 if my life depended on it.
As a flip - restored, mind you - I'd be tempted to ask $400 in my somewhat hot Wash DC market - would sell it for $375. It's a nice bike.

$400 in the KC area seemed pretty steep to me as well. I tend to be immediately a little suspect of stuff on Craigslist that only has one image or super small images. Another fun trick is when someone posts a manufacturers image and says "It looks exactly like this but..." uummm hmmm sure.

Nice bike but $400 seems pretty steep. Maybe its just me but I don't like the look of the bike the cheesy cheap looking gold bar tape with no hoods, poorly done cables and ugly white tires. These all look like someone tried to make the bike look good to get a premium price and didn't quite pull it off. For this kind of price for a basic road bike everything should look right.
