I would say the bike is worth about $200 looks like a very nice bike. I'm not a bike fan of the way the way the seller did the none earo bars up areo styles expesially the poorly done attempted aero routing in the bar ends. If the seller had done the cables and bar routing right it Could sell for $50 maybe $100 more.

The bike looks nice and has updated brake levers and bar end shifters, but it has a RD with a crab claw on it, rather than a derailleur hanger, an indication of a low end frame and derailleur so I've learned. Definitely overpriced.

The seller has a couple of bikes listed. IMHO, they're well prepared, but a wee bit aggressive on asking price.

I think the Raleigh he has is well priced at $180, particularly with what appears to be a Brooks saddle.

'81 Fuji Grand SE.

I don't think that's a botched aero cable routing for the bar ends, I think it's a botched NON aero routing.
(Looks strange in juxtaposition to the aero brakes - but it wouldn't reduce what I would be willing to pay.)

What would reduce the value to me is if it retains the original steel rims.

If on the other hand they've been upgraded, then at $200, it certainly would be worth a look in your market as Zujkahn suggested - but if the seller is serious about that $350 asking price, you might do better to shop on eBay.

I don't think it's seriously botched cable wise. It likley all works fine just for this price on a mid level Japanese bike with a claw hanger and cheaper components it should be done look tight. One can't expect to sell a mid level Japanese bike for this price unless everything looks works perfect and even then it should be a bit lower price wise.

+1 - The Raleigh isn't half bad at $180.

He has a couple of Treks listed too, both of which are not overpriced for your market and are super nice bikes: a nice '84 420, and what looks like a small '83 614 with a triple.

Zukahn - It wasn't quite a mid level bike in their hierarchy, like an S12 -(It was just a notch up from the high ten Sports 12). - It is just that I'm sort of obsessive about routing bar-end shift cables, and that's why I thought it was botched. Anyway, it doesn't affect value for me - everything gets redone anyway!
