shimano 600 arabesque rear derailleur

I have a 600 arabesque rear derailleur id like to sell. It is very clean and no scuffs, the one defect is that the cylindrical housing that encases the spring has a crack in it. i never noticed the crack until i took it off the bike and it's effects where never noticed. anyone know what it would be worth, i can put up pictures if it helps.

thanks

Very little. The best place to sell items like this is ebay, and with damage, and ebay's buyer always wins policies, the risks from selling this are high.

You can replace that housing off Shimano 400 derailleurs. Most Arabesque rears are also bent. And to fix it requires straightening the brass tube inside the spring, on two dimensions. And that is tricky and takes a good eye.

Once you've fixed it, detailed it, and presented it super nicely on eBay, I'd shoot for $30 plus or minus.

The truth is, they are a highly desirable yet technically crap derailleur.

Probably about $5 if sold "as-is, for parts or repair" on Ebay. T.bill is 100% correct about the risk involved in selling damaged goods on Ebay.

Unless you place zero value on your time, not worth the time and effort to fix.
