Hey guys,

A friend of mine has a Nishiki International with serial KG 52628 and components:

Suntour Cyclone front/rear derailleurs
Sugino Super Maxy (?)
Araya 27 x 1/4

He insists its a 1987, but I checked out the serial guide here and it seems more like a 1977? The bike seems to be decent. I was wondering what you would value it as? For reference I'm in northern CA.

From the looks of it '77 would be about right. (The Cyclones were introduced by then too.)
Nishiki's are a notch or two above your UJB from the era, and the Int'l was one of their best efforts, so I'd estimate about $225 in road ready condition.

Any idea if the '77 Internationals had a potential of having tange or butted cro-moly frames? I've seen some of the lower 80s have it, but it seems the inconsistency in the 70s was hit-or-miss on having one.
