1998 Specialized Allez A1

1 Attachment(s)
I just picked up this new to me 1998 Specialized Allez A1. There wasnt alot of info about this year out there so im curious what the value of the bike is. I paid 250. Its stock with exception of the pedals, water bottle holders, air pump and a cateye cordless 2.
The bike is hardly used, the tires look like they have rotted a little and need replaced.
This is the info i found on the bike. 1998 Specialized Allez A1

A good deal or what?

$250 seems like a good deal, if it fits and is rideable.

+1 If it rides nice and is your size this is a solid very good bike for a good price.

looks like a 60cm? maybe the 62? anyway - its awesome - you done good - wouldnt mind it in my stable especially since i'm on an aluminum kick - could probably resell in my area for 400-500$ - maybe more?

hitchhike79 09-08-12 09:21 AM

Its 58cm, its a perfect fit. I took a quick 10 mile ride, the tires will need replaced, ill need to see about shoes for the pedals (wellgo rc-703), and there is also a Profile Stryker ZB that came with the bike that i will try out this weekend. So far i am very happy with the bike and glad to hear it was a good deal.

Do the Wellgos have replacable pads? If you need to replace the holder and all I like these Kool-Stops.
