19?? Schwinn Paramount

Saw this while trolling craigslist.
Any Ideas as to value of this bike or maybe what year it might be etc?

Inquiries like this usually work better when you say what the seller is asking. It's much easier to give a yes/no answer than to try and infer the market where you live and the specs of a bike from a picture that looks like it was taken underwater.

All that being said, I wouldn't pay more than $250 for it from that picture.

I agree. This looks like a Paramount Design Group (PDG) which I understand was designed and conceived in Waterford (or whereever by the PDG) but built in The Orient for Schwinn. Judging from the components and that unicrown fork I would say it is a '91ish bike with 105 or maybe even RX100

That's a good price. Right on the cusp of a "buy it even if it doesn't fit, you can flip for a profit."

It appears to be a 1991 PDG Series 3 Paramount. These were made in Taiwan by A-Pro. If it's straight, no dents or dings, and neither the stem nor the seatpost are stuck, it is easily worth $150.

cool well i was looking at it for my dad. he wants something lighter than his 1974 Schwinn Continental. So i was looking and saw this one he should be able to ride anything from about a 58-62 based on what we've tried him on so far.

We'll see if i get a call back thanks for all the info.

Almost any bike will be lighter than a 1974 Continental.

Hope the Paramount works out. Nice price on that one.

+1 Nice price on that bike.

I found a 3 series that looks exactly like the one pictured for my friend. RX-100 components are rock solid and I love the frame. He paid $150 for it. I told him if he ever wants to get rid of it I'll buy it off him. Very nice bike and "underrated" IMO for how nice it should ride.
