1978 Raleigh Professional - sort of

I'm considering selling my "modified" 1978 Raleigh Professional, and as it has been modified, past pricing (although not many MkV sales on ebay) may not really be a good guide. So I'm turning to the forum to see what the collective wisdom here holds. And I realize assessments may vary wildly because of the subject.

History: Original Owner had the frame refinished by CyclArt sometime around 1987 based on the 7s DA that adorned the bike when I bought it from him. At that time CA added internal TT brake cable routing, bottom of the BB cable routing and a front derailleur tab (and shifter b/o - I don't think the bike had these originally?) The frame was refinished in blue, but without Raleigh's silver panels. All the decals were replaced at the same time.

The paint is still in reasonable shape and looks nice, but has some knocks from age. No dents, but some scratches, chips, and a couple bubbles.

The component group has a passing nod with originality. NR three hole front derailleur, NR RD (Pat80), SR [drilled] brake levers w/Campy hoods, Record calipers, Record DT shifters, NR headset, NR seatpost, NR hubs laced to tubulars, but Araya rims, and IIRC the hubs date from '85 (still look the same), and they are 28 spoke, w/radial front bladed Hoshis. Curved Record skewers. 6s freewheel.

Straying further from OE, the crankset is a Stronglight 104 w/105 drillium rings (& Raleigh dustcaps). Also has a Cinelli stem and bars, but the stem logo is later. And a pair of Campy aero water cages/bottles.

Right now the saddle's an Avocet Racing I. Should I spring for a Brooks Pro?

I like the bike, but it really is just a little too large for me. If any of you were at the [substitute Cirque] CR gathering in G'boro, NC in 2011, I rode this bike on the scheduled rides there.

Just to bump the thread, I'll say the frame would fetch up to $200, based on watching Raleigh frames on eBay and unfortunately applying a significant discount because this one is modified, chrome gone, and painted non-original. Plus parts value - if parts are in very nice condition, probably get the most by parting it out. If sold as a complete bike, I'll say maybe $400-500 eBay, $300-400 local. The aero bottles and cages have quite a nice value, I would sell them separately and haven't included them in the price.
