Hi All. New to this site. Here are my Bikes. Anyone have any info on them Please?
Peugeot Premiere 1989 - Have been looking at catalogs and can't seem to locate this one. Can't find it anywhere for sale or even a photo of it. Then I read that if it says "Premiere" it was only made for the European market. The date code on the components are all 1989 except for the brakes which are 1988. It says Carbolite+ France on the frame and Wheels are RIGIDA and they say Cromage Superchromix made in France. Brakes are Weiman and other components are SACHS HURET.

Schwinn High Sierra 1987 -Double Butted Chro-moly frame. Has a sticker on frame that says "Made in Taiwan" Shimano Biopace SG Crank, Araya Rims and Hubs, Diacompe brakes.

JC PENNY 10 SPEED RACER- ??

Peugeot is a mid to later 80's base model sport/tour bike, maybe a derivative of the earlier PH10/PH12 models. Could be Canadian made, but the French labels and all Euro components seem to indicate it's a Euro release (You'd expect something like a Shimano group for the Canadian made Peugeots. Could be the last bikes made with Peugeot's "house" Carbolite 103 tubeset. Their "HLE" tubing must have come out right after this bike did.
Should be a solid rider, but on the heavy side, for sure. Market value for such a bike in close to mint condition should only be around $125ish.
Oops!, I just saw the decal on the pics saying "Made in France", so ignore my mention of Canadian Peugeots.....

High Sierra is the pick of the litter. Peugeot is a good, solid, entry level bike shop quality bike and the J C Penney bike is department store from the bike boom.

Are you looking for a value?
Peugeot is a nice but lower-end model. Steel rims hurts value. I'd put it at $125 just because Peugeots seem to command crazy prices.
Schwinn is cool but that frame looks rough. Is that painted or chromed? Either way, need to clean/polish it up to get good money for it. Right now it looks dirty and rough. As-is $75-100.
JC Penny bike is not worth much. In its present state without a rear wheel, you might be lucky to get $10 for it. I'd settle for throwing it on the curb or donating it.

Thanks Chombi and Wrk101. Spot on my thoughts! I have been offered $150 on Peugeot and $250plus shipping on the High Sierra, just wondering if I should do it or not. Thank you again.

It depends where you are. $150 for a vintage Peugeot in that condition in Vancouver could command prices in the mid $200s.
