Vintage Peugeot Road Bike with simplex and campy

I just pickup a nice vintage peugeot road bike... can anyone give me a model, rough year, and value...

Details... has a campy... I think super record front derailleur (is that correct?)... my guess this was not stock. Rear is simplex. Frame is carbolite. I'm thinking I will replace the campy front derailleur with something else and sell of the campy. Its in good shape needs a minor tune.

If it's a 12/6 speed, I'd guess it to be a 1983 something or other. It looks like that era decal scheme, to me that is...

Considering the local market in Colorado at this time of year only $200 or so. If your willing able to part it and sell the pieces online you could get close to $500.

I agree with $200 for the whole thing. Carbolite 103 = lower end and not worth what the higher models are.

$500 parted out?? Are the components that nice? I admit I don't know much about Campy or Simplex but I have a tough time seeing $500 there.

Not really, that just means 12 speed. Catalogs are all on line, Carbolite frame = low end model. looks like a 1982 UO10 or something like that, check out the Miamijim site.

I don't see $500 parted out. Those are cheap brakes, derailleurs are nothing special, etc.

Good idea to remove the Campy FD.

As for parting it out one has to understand that this would reguire some 30hrs + of labor tear down, cleanup, taking photos, writing add copy, posting, basic handling difficulties and packing shipping. For every piece part.

+1. Not that much value parted out. 125-150$ here (Richmond VA).
