Attractive but unknown hubs

Picked up a nice little thing today and it has some wheels on these hubs, I've looked on velobase but haven't been able to dig anything up.

They have very nice quick release skewers, very intricate patten on both sides and nicely cast -

But the hub shells themselves look like they could date from before QRs were common place so I was thinking possibly it's a whole axle swap, which seems unlikely and somewhat overkill.

The only markings on each hub are two overlapping Os (like Olympic rings) -

120mm spaced rear, it looks like the builder rearranged the spacers to make a nice chainline for the single speed Nervar freewheel -

Can't imagine it's anything but French origin, the rims are some nice ultra shiny Weinmann things. the whole setup is pretty sharp and super smooth running.

Rear hub to me looks like an inexpensive stamped steel model. Galvanized spokes is another clue. Test with a magnet.
