Really don't think it is worth anything near 650$ (bid plus shipping). It is sixties, some sort of UO type variant. Might have value on a collector's level, but for that kind of kale, I'd hold out for a later PX model.

Is that the infamous Death Stem on that bike? It sure looks like one.
BTW, $499 seems a bit high, but then I'm not really into 60's era bikes anymore.

Have a look at the information on this page. Perhaps you can identify the model yourself. If that does not work, look at the catalogs on this page.

looks like a 64 or newer, PL or PX 8. If I can get it for 250 i think ill go for it, just for the age of it, pretty bike in my opinion

Here's another resource for id'ing the bike:

https://mysite.verizon.net/vzerndgo/

Only the French versions of the catalogs go that far back....

The Simplex derailleurs indicate circa 1962-1965. The use of rear brake cable clips, as opposed to stops, in conjunction with "allege" tubing, suggests a PA10. Despite the nice condition of the frame and the age, the value is very high due to the number of non-original parts. The orignal, all plastic shifters, have been replaced by later, metal reinforced, versions, probably because they broke. And it the shifters broke, the derailleurs may not be too far behind in self destructing. One of the brake calipera appear to have been replaced. Your can see where the rear was originally fitted on a bicycle with a larger rim and the pads have been dropped to accommodate the 700C wheels, yet there are no correspomding marks on the rea. The wheels themselves are another obvious replacement by virtue of the small flange hubs and 700C clinchers tires. The original saddle would have leather. There may be even more replacement parts, but these are the obvious ones. This is an easy pass, IMO.

I could see paying $150. But $650? No way.
