I bought a Trek 640 in Denver about 6 months ago for $300 - all original - good, but not great condition. Thought that was a good "buying" price. Yours with new rims and serviced, I think that should be worth a higher price. Tough time of year to try and sell it.

I saw these hubs on ebay go for 160 and mine are in new old stock condition. Thinking about lacing up the original hubs then selling it. Dont know if those hubs bring up the value that much

They certainly won't bring the value up ~$160 if that's what you were wondering. Your chances of finding a Campy fanatic willing to pay that much extra for that bike are rare.

I could see the bike pulling $400 but that might you might have to wait for it in the winter. Condition looks very good. Photos are not great. Large size hurts a bit.

Doesn't matter what the hubs bring on ebay, and yours have been laced, so they are no longer NOS (but pretty damn close). To maximize return, part out is the way to go, but has the added hassle of individual auctions, separate transactions, shipments, etc.

Recent NOS hubs were all with original box. Do you have the box?

Is it the lighting, or are the rims two different colors?

$350, and it will take a while. Size is a negative, as are 27 inch wheels. Yes, I know it came with 27 inch wheels. But many buyers are not looking for something collectible or unique, they are looking for a good used racing bike. And many of them have on their list: "must have 700c wheels". I see it all the time. Unless it is a touring bike, when I sell a bike with 27 inch wheels, it goes at a discount to a similar bike with 700c.

Funny I didnt realize that some of the pics were pre-reconditioning. There are Ambrosio Aero rims front and back. I Think the good advice is to put the old hubs back on with some black rims. I know I can get some good money for the hubs that are on there. 27 inch wheels were stock on that bicycle. I can relace with some new black 700s with the original gran sport hubs. Probably get just as much for the bicycle and then sell the hubs.

I just love it when people post asking for a value, then argue about the suggested value. If ya knew what it is worth to you, then why are you asking?

I was thinking... Why don't you put the stock parts back on this to sell it. Then you can usethe CampI (Y?) parts from this for the Paramount while your selling the black Dura Ace. Then you can use the proceedes from both sales to collect the SR CampI (ag?) for the Paramount. The you still have a bikes worth of stuff for another bike.

personally I would just swap the black DA to this frame and this stuff to the Paramount and call it a day. Whatever you do those Tipo hubs/wheels should find a permanant home on the Paramount.

+1 Unfortunetly the OP just won't get a good return on the money and effort put into building up a set of high end vintage correct 27 inch wheels on or off the bike. In most markets buyers would pay more for this bike with a basic set of 700c's with a casstte. So it would probably be best if the wheels a kept and used on something else like the Paramount.

Smells like a fishing for an offer. OP knows what this bike is worth. I also think $160 Tipo hubs are an outlier.

I think you can talk about the OP all you want. I was looking for an honest assessment. I dont have to fish for any offer. I can put it for sale here if I choose or put it on Craigslist or even Ebay. The wheelset is a complete overkill for this bicycle.. Im going to take it apart. Not many people want a 27 inch wheelset as it turns out. The hubs..probably ebay or just build them formyself on another bicycle..my Superior perhaps.
