Any idea if this bike has value? If so, what price? It is a Grand Sport Delux. Frame paint has scratches and a few rust spots.

The bike has some non-original parts. The stem binder bolt is unscrewed, meaning it is dangerous to ride as-is and/or the stem is frozen in the steerer tube. The frame seems in decent enough shape, as far as the picture shows. Something wrong with the left brake lever. As-is, I think value about $70-100. If all fixed up and ready to ride, $150 ish.

The bike looks to be early to mid seventies with some component upgrades. The frame and fork, however, look a bit bent to me, although that might be an illusion based on camera distortion. A close up of the head tube, preferably taken square on, from the drive side of the bike, would help to determine if that is the case...

If the frame is damaged, that will dramatically deminish the value. This is a Gitane Gran Sport Delux frame set that I owned some time ago...

The stem binder bolt is fine. I was cleaning up the bike yesterday and forgot to bolt it down. The frame is not bent, and the bike rides fine. I will try to shoot the photos you requested. I had actually more photos but was only able to upload one of them.
Thanks

I actually remember the color bike you have. Wanted one but the frame size at the shop was too large for me.

I think its a very beautiful bike. But any type of frame damage is going to make it so difficult to get a value on. Im sure someone on here has some experience with reapairing these bikes and will give you an honest appraisal. thanks for sharing. I hope ya get it fixed and running

Jvl,
you are very observant. I was cleaning the bike yesterday. Took much of the bike apart for cleaning. Wife made me stop for an engagement. In haste to get photo during day, forgot to tighten top screw and reconnect left brake back up. All works well and the frame is good. Biggest issue is scratches in paint and some rust on frame.

Looks like the bike is in fairly nice shape. These make great riders but are not very valuable in most markets because it is a bike with a high ten frame steel wheels and pretty basic components. Most of these French boom era bikes very similar and there where a lot of them made. Considering the nice paint and condition I would say $150-200 in most markets.

I have finished cleaning up the bike. It is completely ready to ride. The seat and crank are replacements. The rest is original including pedals. There are nicks in the frame and some rust. The frame and fork are in good shape. One more request for true value. I would like to sell the bike.
Thanks in advance.

Crank is a nice upgrade, although it doesn't 'fit' with all the old French parts. A buyer may or may not care (I wouldn't.) Are the rims steel? That lowers the value.

It looks like you did a nice job on it but this is still a hi-ten frame/fork with steel (?) rims. And the paint isn't in great shape, although that is common with French bikes. Around here I could probably get $100-125.

Gitanes are nice bikes. The GrandSport Deluxe was their basic model. I think the paint chips, scratches, and rust impact the value of your bike.
I would think you should get somewhere in the $125-150 range. Good luck with selling.
