Found one close to me, it is a 1982 model 10 speed. has owner manual. bill of sale, it is a ten speed, fenders, bike is mint. What should I offer them ? or is it worth messing with. should have took a picture with my sell phone. looks like a real vintage bike, love the saddle on it.

Really? If its that model, not much value there. Entry level, with the Shimano boat anchor FFS. If so, I would keep looking, unless it is super cheap, and you just want something basic.

I really didn't look that good, went after another bike they had on CL, it looked really nice for an older bike, thought there would be some value. told them I would call back in the morning, wanted to check with you guys,

While their is one BF member who likes Shimano ffs, steer clear if you aren't an accomplished bike wrencher.

The shifters were on the tube going to the head set, but just remembered it had bars like a comfort hybrid and brake levers if that makes a difference. Not the drops, the saddle looked and felt like a custom made road one.

Without more information, $20 to $25. Personally, I would not bother.

Description is really lacking... Should've taken a picture. But from what I am guessing this bike is based on the description, I would agree with $20-25. Without real info, we have no idea.
