Chicago Schwinn Caliente Womens
got this off the curb. Its a 1970's Schwinn Caliente Women's bike. Has a made in Chicago badge. Seems to have a lot of original parts and in decent shape. What do you think would be a fair price if I were to fix it up a bit?

Not a lot. Really bottom of the line bike, but the Schwinn name gets some extra for the sentimental response. You might be able to get $50-75 for it if you fix it up.

Looks like it really doesn't need much fixing up. In my market, I'd expect to get $60-80 out of that bike... closer to $80 this time of year. Be aware that you probably will not be able to find any new shift cables for that rear derailleur, so hopefully the one it has is in good condition.

Will not very valuable a lot depends on if the none standard Positron drive train shifters still work correctly. If everything works $75-100 if the Positron doesn't work correctly figure about half of that or less there are no parts available for these and they are pita to work on.

thanks guys. All the cables are in great shape and the positron shifters work just fine. Honestly it looks like it sat in a garage for the last 30 something years. It even has the original "beware when stopping in the rain" stickers. I'm going to get new tires and tubes and just adjust, clean and lube it, then post it Fs on Craigslist mpls.
