Track Bike Identification (Possibly from the 1940's)

Hello all,

I'm trying to identify my Grandfather's old track bike. He thinks he purchased it in Italy in 1940 (he was 13 at the time). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The Bottom Bracket says BSA, I'd start there. English. When you race you always try to get the best you can afford, so you'll see a mix of English, Italian Japanese.
