What year is this Miyata 710?

I have done a search on google, it seems like most 710s have a two color scheme where the headtube color is different from the rest of the frame.

Well, that was not the case for this one..

What year is this bike?

Well, according to velobase, the blue line rear derailleurs didn't show up until 1980. Taking that knowledge over to google and typing in "1980 miyata catalog" I get to this page

Since there isn't a 1980 catalog, I check the 1981 catalog, and don't see a 710, but when I check the 1982, I see this:

I'd say it's a 1982.

It's either a 1982 or 1983 model. The decal schemes were diferent for other years.

hmm, I should have thought of searching from the component year perspective. That looks exactly like my bike(except shinier). Thanks.

Edit: and I thought 710 is pretty high toward the top of miyata lines. Not at all, lol.
