Yes Girls and Boys we get to play another round of "what is it worth"

Welcome to another round of that fabulous game everyone loves to hate "what is my bike really worth" {pause for applause**

OK enough comedy. I am '95% certain I want to sell this fabulous Bianchi. I don't want to use the word rare in the description but I don't think there are many around. Here is the nitty gritty. Sorry about the lousy indoor pics but it has been raining gerbals and mice all day here.

1999 Reparto Corse (the real one) Mega Pro XL Titanium frame, Bianchi unicrown carbon fork with (IIRC) alloy thread less steerer. The group is Record Titanium 9spd except the hubs which are I believe Chorus 9sp (with a standard cassette) with Campagnolo Moskva 80 rims. The wheels I originally built for it are tubulars and now mismatched so I put these clinchers on it. The Merckxx bars will be riding on a steel Salsa stem with less rise to it, the Selle Italia Bio-Line saddle is perched atop the Campagnolo Record Ti post.

I am certain this bike (less wheels) has less than 2K miles on it and would not be surprised if it had less that 1500 or even 1000. For some reason I never really liked it despite trying different wheels and the taller stem I just never liked the feel.

This will be offered sans pedals and I need to swap the stem and reinstall the Record Ti dual pivot brakes. I could offer a fabulous set of Record hubbed Salsa tubular rims but I think I would need to add $400 to the price for those.

I did look around on ebay completed auctions but no Ti frames there just the Alloy and steel or two.

So I have a feeling you already have a price and are doing a end around EBAY

Flip the stem and wrap the bars in celeste tape and I bet you can get an easy $1200. I love Chorus and think it is an excellent value but people want Record on their old Bianchis so you may want to try for $700 for the frame/fork and maybe $500 or so for the Chorus and wheels. Or keep the groupset for something else really cool.

As for the price yes and no, I have an idea of what I want for it but I am not sure what it is worth. As for FEEbay yes I would like to avoid actually selling on there.

I was thinking a bit higher. at that price I would hold on to it.

Sorry...........nice bike but way too high end and new for me to have a clue.

I know a lot of the Ti bikes that show up on CL around here are often Spectrum and Merlin bikes,
and that they are often priced in the two large range, but I don't think that helps you much.

I haven't a clue, but what a sweet bike. My Veloce was $1200 when new 13 years ago. That is way more bike than I've ever had. Decided you had to thin the herd?
