Possible 1989 schwinn traveler?

Ive recruited another buddy into bicycle commuting and found this one for him http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...815478072.html

Im trying to find it in the catalogues here http://bikecatalogs.org/SCHWINN/MODELS/Traveler.html

An '89 maybe? http://bikecatalogs.org/SCHWINN/1990...oad_Cat_29.jpg

hes about 5'4 give or take. So i think the size should be okay. But ill be with him to test it and make a decision from there.

I was going to offer him 100 flat and start negotiating from there. Im not familiar on some of the components so any help would be great.

We are in Los Angles for market reference,

That's a good price, maybe even a deal in LA. Those Travelers were nice. Might be too tall for your friend though, I see a 54 or maybe even 55cm.

I sold an 89 Traveler for $140 pretty easily. Seems like a good price especially for LA. Does seem tall for a smaller stature rider.

Price is quite fair. If as advertised ("needs nothing") I see no need to haggle, because bike will shortly be gone at that price.

Well we're about to go see the bike. I suppose sizing is our last hurdle. If its too big we walk. If he's comfortable then we take it.

any last things we should oversee?
