Vintage Italian Leather Riding Shoes... A Good Deal or Not ??

Are these leather shoes a good deal for $36 ??

They look nice - and they are local.

Looks nice and a fair price.

would definitey want to be able to try before buying. Italian shoes are notorious for running on the narrow side.

Look good if you are going to run clips and straps, if the sole requires actually nailing on of a cleat then thats a bit of a pain, but a shoe maker can help there. I'd love to have a pair of soft leather old school shoes because they form to your feet so nicely. If the shoe is for your personal use, then only you can determine if its a good deal or not - are they worth $36 to you? IS it worth 46? IF yes then its a good deal, if the answer is that its only worth 25 then no its not a good deal.

IF your interest is in reselling - then I have no idea fof the market for vintage shoes, but I would guess its not a particularly good investment.

It looks like they have antique cleats already attached to fit the back edge of rat-trap pedals. Not much wear.

What I used to do with similar shoes, was to glue on rubber soles , even filing a cleat groove. Styling shoes !

Rubber soles. Scathingly brilliant.

Or... I could peel off the cleats entirely & really shine at the disco with these nifty Italian leather bottom dancing shoes !

I don't think I'll bid on them....
