What kind of Peugeot do I have here? And what would be a fair asking price?

I was excited at first when I came across this bike, I was assured it would fit me (i am 6'4") well it didn't. I purchased it anyway because the wheel set was worth more than the asking price.

The serial numbers on the paper tag says:
PGN1 OM60 and on the B.B 4063195

I always thought the size was the last two digits, but there is no way it's a 60cm.

I also have a red one with no paper tag, but has the numbers Y612 06495 on the bottom rear hanger. I've been to a few sites, but they only let me know approx what years they were made.

I can't help on the red frame, but assuming the black tag is actually PGN10 M60. Looks like a quill seatpost, where is the fork? Is there a Reynolds 501 sticker on the frame. If so, it would likely be an 84 PGN10. That's mine below. You need one of those stretch Fujis!

Frame with no fork isn't worth more than $50, IMHO.

Are sure that isn't a 59 or 60? Actually at 6-4 I think you should be looking for a 62.

Bianchigirll6ft 4 is how tall I am. I fit (depending on the bike) on a 60-61cm.

oddjob2 Yes it has a quill seat post, and I do have the forks, I was going to try and put them on the red frame, but they were too short, and I was not in the mood to reassemble on to the black frame. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=321201

This is the same frame assembled. What do you mean I need a stretch Fuji? As in the brand of bike? Or is that a term I am unfamiliar with?

The black bicycle should be a 1984 PGN10 based on the label. However, if you're suspcious it's been mislabeled due to the apprarent size discrerpancy, then you'll need to post better pictures, as I can't much from what you've given us. You can't tell if it's lugged, whether the dropouts are forged or stamped, whether it's got shifter bosses. etc.

The red bicycle is a 1987 entry level model.

To give you some sorta scale, that bench is a inch or so taller than a standard bench

Well, it's got a Reynolds 501 decal, so there's no reason to believe it's not a PGN10.

Ok so it's a PGN 10, do you know what the other letters and numbers mean on the tab?

And thank you all

You say you ride a 60 cm, this bike is a 60 cm, but you say it doesn't fit you?

One of those three must be wrong. Which is it?

Worth figuring out as you look for other bikes.
