Garage sale find! Flourescent Miele lupa road issue
Picked this up over the weekend for $5, this colour is really cool and have done a bit of research and haven't seen another one yet, just looking to see if it is all original and approximate value and age, take into consideration I live close to Toronto and the vintage bike market is pretty good. Any help is appreciateed
Thanks

Thanks

Still learning
Ride it like you stole it! What an incredible deal in metro Toronto. Columbus tubeset and Shimano 105 group is good stuff, look for a date code on the components, probably mid to late 1980's.
If the bike were overhauled, which I suggest you do, and ready to ride, the return on your $5 purchase could be pretty damn good.

Don't bother with the component date codes, as they aren't original. The frame is early 1990s but the New 105 is 1987-1989. Even then, it's not a complete New 105 group. The crankset is an obvious mismatch and there may be others. Set-up is terrible. The front derailleur is too high, the rear lever is in high gear but the chain's on a middle cog, seat and stem look dangerously high, the saddle tilted down and too far back, needs new bar tape, etc. $4oo in T.0. once everything is addressed.

Lol I'm guessing a little bit of both, funny thing was that he said he did a bit of research before selling the bike and to be honest I didn't know anything about this bike until I looked it up, the guy was actually asking $10 but I talked him down to 5 lol i just had no idea of the value.

Man, you're rough , talked the guy down 5 bones on a $300 bike . Sounds like something I'd do . That is a cool color combo, I have one just like it. You may want to keep it , as the ride quality is very nice (I know, kind of subjective) .

Lol yea pretty greasy I guess lol but like I said I had no idea on the value. Trust me I have ridden the bike a few times in the last few days (weather permitting) and It is a blast to ride! I come from a bmx and mountain biking background and never had a road bike, i guess if there was one to try this would be her lol but I do a lot of buying and selling and just finding this bike has opened a whole new area for me to explore and I'm sure this wont be the last one I find. Thanks to everyone for the advice and comments.
Ps. Posted it for $600 and have have a ton of interest and am meeting with a buyer this week lol
