What is an old three speed worth?
Saw this in a CL ad:
https://desmoines.craigslist.org/bik/3879522396.html
How much is an old 3 speed worth? I realize that markets for this kind of thing are pretty imperfect at best and the seller is just shooting for a number but the bike is obviously unusual.

Seller must subscribe to the BBC on ebay pricing guide! Some early 1950's Humbers sold in the $200-$400 range.

That is your wife's bike for the ABCE in Minneapolis https://www.abcetour.com/ the weekend after Labor Day. Question is: What are you gonna ride? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-1939-Ra...item2c6fe9d133

I have a '61 Raleigh Sport rebranded as a Gazelle in similar shape, also with the Sturmey Archer AW (a legend, that). I'll be lucky to get $150 for it. If that 3-speed were pre-WWII it'd be worth much more (since they didn't make them 43-48 due to the war, I imagine). As is, I don't see how it could possibly go for above $300, unless I missed something serious.
