Identification challenge: what bike is this?

Hello there, today I have a little challenge for you. It might not be all that little, though.
I happened to become the owner of a cute tourism bike which I fixed up and made myself a nice city-racer.
But I am still in the dark about the manufacturer of the bicycle, not to mention the model.
I have a few [low-quality] photos for you, guys, and I hope that you have your Sherlock hat handy and will help me find out what bike this is:
!PICTURES HERE!

On the plate between the seat-stays it says "PAGE 1074" (October 1974? Jimmy?).
Yeah, sorry for the poor image quality.
Here, at a bit wider angle (no flashlight, sorry):
.

The white decals are cracked, I'm currently removing them. Made quick pictures before I do, in case the decals help with identification.

Thanks in advance!

P. S.
Equipped with SACHS Huret gear-shifter (presumably, originally) and Millard Heliomatic rear hub. A single chainwheel, attached to the axle and the crank, the left crank is square tapered.

P. P. S.
Presumably of West-German / West-European origin.

That has to be some of the stranger rear drops I have ever seen.

it is a Huffski

Judging from those nasty looking drops and the big stamped brake bridge it is certainly department store level fodder.

So it's "crap"?
Well, I'm still trying to get my grip on these things - just recently started fixing bicycles (trying to get/build one that I will love riding - and this one is OK, as I cannot really compare), and this is my first racing kind of a bike
Makes me wonder if something nicer would also feel better.
