Please help I.D. my Bennoto

Hello everyone,

I recently bought this Benotto and am struggling to identify the model, despite all the great contributions already made in this forum. Any help that can be offered would be dearly appreciated-I really need to know what it is, since I will need to resell before too long.

I am confounded by the mixture of markings on the bike, all of which I've found on one Benotto picture or another, but not on the same bike, such as the monogram "Benotto" on frame, front forks, and seatstays, the engraved "B" in front of the rear brake, and chomed chain and seat stays on both sides, all on a columbus cromor frame.

It has the heart shaped-cutout on the BB, which is a good sign of authenticity, from what I've read here. Where the serial numbers are (on the BB, correct?) it simply reads 62 C (its a 62 cm) on one side and "B3" on the other, which is certainly not long enough to be a serial.

Since I haven't seen evidence of anything like it, I think the cracked-enamel paintjob is custom (?), so I'm not too worried about sticker placement, which I know concerns some of you out there.

A bit of dirt on it in the pictures (link below), but this thing is in unbelievable condition!

Thanks in advance!

P.S. The bike and I are in Germany, so I'd like to know if you think that would effect the price.

Most forum memebrs reside in North America, so the German origin complicates both the model identification and appraisal, as both are almost certainly going to be different. Frankly, I'd just list it as a Benotto with Columus Cromor tubeset. To most buyers, knowing the tubeset is Cromor is more useful than knowing the Benotto model. Almost everybody looking for a decent bicycle knows the level of Cromor. Far fewer would know the Benotto models. Besides it may simply have been marketed as a Benotto Cromor. Using the tubeset name and component group as the model name was standard practice among many Italian marques in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
