French pedals

2 questions for you.

The situation: #1 I have a customer that looking for French pedals. I have an 10 Speed Jeunet. To the untrained eye nothing special about that 10 speed bike. But it'S all "French Standard" and cotter pin crank.
Question #1 : What price can I ask between 10 or 20$ maybe more.

The hypothetical situation #1 a. I have a French Jeunet without pedals to its cotter pin crank. The vélo is too small for me I want to flip it.
Question #1 a. How much trouble I will get to overhaul the crankset setup? (upgrade cotter pin axle to cotterless, make sure the length of the axle fit with the crank, find a crank make sure the frickin' French cup will not unscrew, find a new set of pedals)

maybe the 2question belong to bike mechanic forum but it's the 1st question that I'm curious about.

#2 is a PITA, and usually means replacing bb along with new crankset. Myself, if I am doing it to resell, I either convert to SS, or refurbish with existing parts. You will not break even on the $$ spent on bb and new crankset, at least in my market.

For an entry level french bike? No thanks.

If it was a keeper, I would replace it with your choice, either the reproduction french cup and spindle bb, or a new cartridge bb.

Get the French pedals on ebay, as little as $15 shipped.
