Need information on Joannou De Lux 3 wheel trike
My friend doesn't have a computer and wanted to know what I could find out about a 3 wheel trike by Joannou De Luxe, the number on it is Joo107, not sure if it is the ID number or Patent number. There is another number which is HOGHPST2UALITY. (he may have read part of t wrong the last part my be quality instead of 2AUALIT). He just bought it and needs quite a bit of TLC. If anyone know about this serial number? Maybe I could tell him some good news, when he restores it he was wondering about how much he could get for it. Anyone know background on it? Is is a single speed and was told by the person that had it, it was from about 1916 but from I read I think the earliest would be about 1035?

Good pictures at a minimum, serial numbers are usually worthless. I assume you have tried google? Three wheelers tend to be very hard to sell, and bikes that need a lot of TLC, more so. Bikes in such condition are best bought by people with the time, tools, aptitude, pile of parts to restore it.
How many speeds? IF it is a 3 speed, depending on who made the hub, those can have date codes on them.
Information from sellers is almost always wrong. I am assuming the seller was not alive in 1916, so their information at best was second or third hand, and doubtful to say the least.
Apparently, this company contracted out with a variety of builders, making serial numbers even less useful.
