BIANCHI Veloce Road Bike 700 WHEELS Value Help Please
I need some help on determining the value of a bike for sale at a Los Angeles area used bike store. It is a BIANCHI Veloce model year approximately 2005. They were asking $1000, which seemed very high for a bike that orginally listed for $1699 and sole for probably $1300? I offered $700 in some back and forth on the phone. They might take $750. Is that reasonable?

Looks like a garage queen trade-in. I would want some proof that any work was done other than air up the tires and swap out the aftermarket seat with a specialized junker.
Not close to a deal at $750, especially if you have to pay taxes on top of the price. It's a nice bike, but nothing special. As always, $750 buys a TON of vintage goodness.

Not classic nor vintage, nor a good deal.

Thanks to those that responded. I'm actually looking for modern compacts, so I guess what I am looking for is classic? Please feel free to educate me.
