de rosa dura ace

Hi I got this bike last year and I just havent had much idea what I have but other riders keep commenting on it.
Apparently its a 1991
Slx columbus
8 speed dura ace (full group)
sti (first year for sti?)
Frame seems to be in incredible shape
Only upgrades seem to be mavic bar and stem. I upgraded the stem and wheels but still have the campy hoops with DA hubs.
These are the only pics but will get more

De Rosa is a highly sought after and collectible vintage road bicycle, and your's appears to be a beauty. Dura Ace is Shimano's top component dog and comparable with the Campagnolo offerings that usually grace these lovely old Italian road bicycles.

You can easily determine How Old Your Bike Is by applying the information contained there-in, paying closest attention to Component Numbers.

Hope this is a help and lovely bike you have there.

The OP already knows it is a 1991 De Rosa.

You will need much better photos, taken outdoors with a neutral background and limited shadows. Also I would install the original wheelset beforehand and sell the new wheels seperately.

Looks to be an earlier example, doesn't it Randy.

Hard to tell from these pics, but looks like a beauty.

A recently sold "somewhat similar" example on eBay went for $1,400+.

Not too shabby.

Sounds good!

fwiw I have a De Rosa SLX that sports DA.

Original build from 23+ years ago.

Easily one of the nicer riding bicycles I have ever thrown a leg over.

I am certain yours is very nice as well.
