Bianchi Project 5

Bought this one at a yard sale along with a Miyata MTB because it said Bianchi and double butted Tange on stickers. Now I'm getting better with vintage road bikes but know nothing about MTBs with not to much out there on this one, any info and valuations would be greatly appreciated. Pictured here before any work, TIA

Nice bike! The Projects 3, 5, 7 were full fledged mountain bikes built on 700c wheels. I think this one is a '92 but I'll look it up tomorrow. Bianchi designed this bikes on the basis of with the same gearing and 700c wheel will make you go faster and larger diameter wheel will roll over obstacles easier. These were on the market about 10 years before the current " 29er " type bikes hit the market. I love my Project 3 makes a great all arounder

Thanks BG, I'm looking forward to taking this one on the local bike trail and see how it rides.
