'86 Waterford PDG Paramount in a small size.....
....it's a little more grimy than ususal, because it got smoked in a house fire,
but the paint and decals are quite nice under the deposits.......as it sits in
the photos is how it came out after degreaser and a high pressure hose at the
quarter car wash. Seat tube = 50 c-c Top tube = 52 c-c Shimano Sante equipped.
As always, your opinions will be weighed and due consideration given in terms
of the price we try to set for it at the bike coop here. Many thanks.

Mike, the second digit of the serial number is hidden by the derailleur cable. Schwinn measured the frame size by the length of the seat tube from the center of the crank to the top of the seat lug, and the first three digits are the frame size in millimeters. The "A" indicates the fork steerer tube length, and A was the shortest. "W" is the Waterford facility, "C" is March, and the "86355" means it was the 355th Paramount frame scheduled for production in March, 1986.
I'd value it in the $700 - $900 range in the bay area once it's cleaned up.
FYI, here's the geo table for the stock '86 Paramounts. The color is "Neon Orchid"...

As always, Stan, thanks very much.

Still learning
Now it's smoked Neon Orchid. I've got a later model, same color mostly DA. Scooper knows his stuff, but $900 seems a bit steep, certainly not a smoking hot deal!

More likely $700 than $900, but to the right buyer in the bay area looking for a small frame, I think they'd pay a premium. 'Course I could be all wet.
EDIT - This 50cm '85 just sold for $1,200. All Original 1985 Schwinn Waterford Paramount 50 cm Seat Tube CTC

........all I know is that when I buy salmon at Costco, the smoked stuff sells for twice the price of the fresh stuff.

Wow, 75 degree st angle, even for a 57cm.
IMO, the Sante stuff hold back the value a bit. (Not saying it's bad).
