What's a 1985 Panasonic DX-3000 worth?

Hi, I'd be grateful for your feedback on this old Panasonic. It's still in good shape, was shop-tuned every few years, but has been parked in a garage since 1999. It has a few thousand miles on it, but never had a mechanical failure. Tires were replaced about two years before being parked. Still have the original documents for it. Replaced the chain rings with Biopace in the early '90's but still have the originals. Also have clips for the pedals.

Updated pics (thanks oddjob2); more pics, higher res, two groups

The 2nd group shows the decal scratches from years of use & shipping, but the paint is intact w/o rust.

Parts List:
Frame: Tange 900 CR-MO Double-butted Tubes
Black/Yellow (Black is metallic flake)
2 cage mounts
~21” / 53.5cm
Forks: MangeAloy 2001; Manganese alloy (paint stained from computer mount)
Handlebars: Sakae Road Champion, Drop, 15” width (my tape job, it’s not perfect)
Brake Levers: Dia-Compe spring return (add-on ~1990)
Brakes: Shimano side-pull
Shifter: Shimano S.I.S, 2x6
Wheels: UKAI 700x25c
Tires: Continental Grand Prix, 120psi (still usable, a few hundred miles on them)
F/R Derailleur: Shimano Light Action
Chainring: Shimano BioPace 52/42 (add-on); also have original 52/42
Crankarm: Sakae SX 170mm
Pedals: Shimano Clipless, adjustable, single-sided (add-on, forget the model)
Hubs: Sansin QR
Saddle: Selle Royal Gel (add-on, about 1 year of use)

Here's a thread about a Denver buy at $235

I have had 2 of these bikes. The first was too small for me; sold for $250 two years ago. It was the light blue color. My present DX3000 is exactly like yours and fits like a glove. The paint and decals are great! If I sold it (I won't) I'd start at 350 and would not take less than 300. Panasonics are possibly the most underrated vintage steel bikes around.

I think Thumpic is emotionally attached to his Panasonic.:thumb:

Which means irrational value too!

Except that I get my price.... patience is key.

I say $200 plus/minus $50 depending on the market.

I agree with Thumpic. This bike has been faithful to me over the years, & I love it. At the time I bought the bike the Panasonic team was one of the top rated teams. I have a lot of great memories on this bike, and I hate to part with it....
...But I will be a little more realistic in my expectations.

$200 around here. Nice bike, condition looks pretty good as well.

I'd list between $260 and $275 in my area. It might bring more, if I were patient. The CListers here would almost certainly ask $350 or more, but they do that for rusted Kent and Ross bikes.

I got $200 for it. I'm happy because it went to a good home - a college student who couldn't afford a car. The same reason I bought the bike in the first place back in '96. Oh yeah, I did figure out it's a '96 & not a '95 - it was so long ago... Thanks again for all the input.
